Hops to Homebrew - February 17, 2011

In celebration of SF Beer Week and Good Foods Month, UKSF put on its second homebrew workshop with local homebrewer, Eric Denman.  Participants learned both the entry-level approach (extract brewing, partial boil) and the advanced approach (full grain, full boil).  Nigel Walker of Eatwell Farm was also on hand to talk about his homemade malt, which was used in brewing an in-class batch of beer.

Each participant took home an extract starter kit, complete with all of the ingredients, recipes, and tips needed to make a batch of delicious brew.  A representative from San Francisco Brewcraft also discussed buying ingredients and equipment.
