Kombucha - June 25, 2009

Thanks to everyone who came out for "Kombucha!"

Our first UKSF class was a resounding success! On Thursday, June 25th, Joshua Muscat of the San Francisco Botanical Medicine Clinic provided excellent instruction to a full house at the Women's Building in the Mission.

Participants went through the brewing process with Joshua step-by-step, observing a live demo and getting up close and personal with a slippery SCOBY.

Everyone came away with a brew kit containing a gallon glass jar, organic sugar and tea, a SCOBY baby, and starter Kombucha tea (brewed and bottled locally in Emeryville).

If you took the course, drop us a line to let us know how it's going. We'd love to hear updates and see photos of your efforts.

And if you missed Thursday's class, or if it was sold out when you tried to sign up, never fear -- we'll be setting another one up later this summer!  Stay tuned, and join our mailing list to be the first to hear about our next Kombucha class once it's scheduled.

Thanks again for your support! And happy brewing!
