On November 11, 2010, Urban Kitchen SF held it's first private event with a local corporation looking for a fun and interactive team building afternoon for their group.
This was also our first time working with Hidden Villa, an incredible non-profit farm and educational center in Los Altos Hills. The farm provided a beautiful setting and delicious ingredients for creating two types of pesto (arugula and sage), fresh ricotta, two types of pasta (pumpkin gnocchi and arugula ravioli), and a farm-fresh salad.
Participants took a tour of the farm where they mingled with the chickens and sheep, as well as harvested many of the ingredients used in the workshop. The group then learned how to make fresh pesto, pasta, and salad under the expert instruction of Joshua Clever and John Tormey.
